mooie uitspraken

Ik houd van mooie uitspraken.
Van die ouderwetse tegelwijsheden die laten inzien dat het leven mooi en eenvoudig is.


Ook houd ik van textiel en textuur.
Deze prachtige combinatie zit verwerkt in de textielkunstwerkjes, te vinden in mijn webwinkel.
Ze worden gemaakt in een klein naai atelier in Zuid Afrika en ieder werkje is uniek en enig in haar soort. Ze worden gemaakt van gerecycled materiaal; oude restjes stof, kant en garen krijgen een nieuw leven.

Ik word iedere keer blij wanneer ik naar ze kijk!

Super als kadootje bij een speciale gelegenheid zoals een geboorte, een huwelijk of een nieuw huis.

                        

                        


Indien gewenst laat ik de werkjes 'zwevend' inlijsten in een stoere white wash lijst. Erg mooi!

Some time ago I discovered the beautiful collection of Plümo.


I find their selection very inspiring. They sell clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery, house decoration and gifts and... they also ship outside of the UK:-)!

   

   

    

    

 I really adore the style of all of these pretty things, don’t you? The pumpkin pouf would be lovely in my house and I just love the generously knitted scarf.

You can bump into this giant clothes pin when you go for a walk in a parc in Belgium.

What a beautiful cushion of Anthropologie!

It's my planning to introduce self-made cushions in my webshop in a while so never enough inspiration.

As a big fan of Anthropologie I am always watching what they are doing. This cushion is in my opinion really very wonderful.
It's made of old blankets and the large bird is made totally of embroidery. When I wish to make something like this myself I have to exercise in technique a bit more and maybe have a little bit more time left..

But I am sure my cushions will also become very nice;-)

Dutch Design Week

Last week in Eindhoven I visited the Dutch Design Week.
The atmosphere was very good and I was impressed by the designs of the graduates of the design academy.

I had a great business trip visiting
the very big China import and export fair
in Guangzhou, China.

We spotted some very nice products for the company Oil & Vinegar and we did a great job on product development.

Now I am very happy to be back home again..

I love basic items with a nice little detail!

With the tranfer from Mimi'lou I gave the jeans jacket of my daugther a funny twist. From now on a little bird is sitting on her shoulder and on the front I placed the word 'smile'. 

It makes me smile everytime she wears it;-)!

As you may know I am a fan of wall stickers, you can create very nice effects with it.
On this picture you see what you can reach with a wall sticker of a very realistic owl and his little friend!
It's very nice to integrate a sticker with a 3 dimensional item like a coat rack.

I am a big fan of the scandinavian brand 'House Doctor'.
At the 'woonbeurs' in Amsterdam I saw this nice stool and ofcourse it was designed by them.
Don't you just love to have a seat on it?

This brand uses nice subtile, funny details and lot's of happy colours. It's basic with a nice twist; exactly what I love and what I also try to reach with my own products.

Take a look at the pillows of Marianne van Ooij.

She uses very nice graphic drawings and the pillows are often very funny and tell a story.
